Prefix remaining after abolishing the monarchy Edit

Finally, it should be noted that the use of HMS does not necessarily imply that Great Britain still had a Monarchy in this era, many real-life precedents exist where the prefix remains after monarchy is abolished, especially in former British colonies (the previously mentioned HMSZ stands for "his/her majesty's New Zealand ship).

Countries such as New Zealand and Australia today have NOT abolished the monarchy, so this is incorrect. They are constitutional monarchies, just like Britain. However, without this example, another would have to be given for the claim that the prefix can remain after the monarchy is abolished. – Cleanse 11:48, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
