Alternation vs Engineering?
Edit
I seem to remember there being a distintion made between genetic engineering and genetic alteration on TNG: "Unnatural Selection" I might be incorrect, does someone remember this? Tyrant 21:00, 16 Jan 2005 (CET)Tyrant
- I believe the distinction was between genetic engineering and genetic "creation". The argument made was that the children in TNG: "Unnatural Selection" were created from scratch. Although they didn't go into much detail. O76923 09:48, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

Edit
I've attempted to "categorize" the article a little, to break it up some - but it could use some help yet. --Gvsualan 10:05, 12 Mar 2005 (GMT)
Genetic engineering of the Klingons
Edit
Needs info on the attempt to creat Klingon augments in "Affliction" and "Divergence".--T smitts 07:17, 2 Jul 2005 (UTC)
New info
Edit
- While the Vorta seem to originate from an ape-like race, it is not known, if the Jem'Hadar have seeds in some species or if they have been egineered from biological raw material.
Is this needed? It doesn't seem like it fits the pov of the article -- more like a personal note or a bit of outside commentary (we may not know how they were engineered, doesn't mean those from in-universe don't). --From Andoria with Love 02:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Category
Edit
I wonder if Crimes should be added as a category, as it was states several times that genetic engineering (in some forms, at least) was illegal.--31dot 00:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, and added the category accordingly.– Cleanse 10:51, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
