I removed: Richard Bashir pled guilty to violating Federation law banning genetic engineering. The judge who accepted this plea and the terms wore a Starfleet Uniform, implying that the Starfleet JAG had authority in these matters far from Earth. -- As they hadn't actually taken it to the supreme court I don't believe, just said they would, but starfleet worked it out. - AJHalliwell 22:43, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)
