MergeEdit

I purpose that this be merged with Bajoran wormhole since this is just another name for it, much like Celestial Temple. - Archduk3 20:15, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose. This is the name of something from their mythology that some of them took to mean the wormhole, but not a name for the wormhole. --OuroborosCobra talk 00:41, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
Oppose. Right- we may want to remove the Astronomical Objects cat as well, since this deals with something mythological and not necessarily an actual place(as Cobra said).--31dot 00:52, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

I would say watch the episode again, as there is never any doubt that the Eye and the wormhole are one and the same. - Archduk3 02:47, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Even Haneek doubted it. She ended the episode saying, "You were right. Bajor is not Kentanna." There is no doubt throughout the episode that the Skrreea believe that this weird thing they discovered matched their mythology, but there is no evidence that their mythology is even true (and thus that something actually existing is what their mythology describes). How would it be true? Did the Skrreea have space travel in the ancient past? Did the Prophets visit them too, only to forsake them once they arrived at the wormhole? The same things cannot be said of the Celestial Temple, which is highly confirmed to even be a "true" myth. --OuroborosCobra talk 02:55, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

"Bajor is not Kentanna" doesn't necessarily mean that that the wormhole isn't the Eye. It could just be a nice way of saying "You guys are jerks and I hope you starve." There isn't a point in the episode where anyone says the wormhole isn't the Eye, and even Kira calls it the Eye of the Universe at one point, so except for the last line, which is open to interpretation beyond the literal meaning, the wormhole is the Eye. - Archduk3 03:13, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
