Movie of the Same NameEdit

An IP user added this:

  • It is possible that the characters name was inspired by H.R.Giger, a famous artist responsible for the design of the alien in the movie with the same name.

The movie with the same name as what? This needs to be explained.– Cleanse talk 04:51, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

H.R. Giger designed the alien in 1979's Alien. That's what the anon meant. --From Andoria with Love 05:07, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Ok, thanks Shran. Makes a lot more sense now. It really sounded as if the movie was called "In the Cards"!– Cleanse talk 05:39, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

The background info for "In The Cards" says that the name was chosen to complete the "lions tigers and bears" line from The Wizard of Oz. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).

Good catch. That note isn't cited, but I'm assuming it's from the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion because it was added at the same time as several other notes from that book. If someone could confirm this that would be great.

Of course, the two notes aren't mutually exclusive. But if one is cited and one isn't, we should ditch the uncited "possibility" in favour of Moore's explanation.– Cleanse 23:58, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Removed the comment(as posted at the top) as speculative("It is possible") unless cited.--31dot 14:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
