- Educated at the Minnesota School of Art in Minneapolis, Christensen began his art career as a sketch artist for Walt Disney Studios in 1937. During his time at Disney, he worked on such films as Pinocchio and Dumbo. He left Disney following the Disney animators' strike in 1941 and joined Warner Bros. Studios, working as a story writer for cartoons starring such characters as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig. In 1944, Christensen left Warner Bros. and began submitting scripts to various comic book publishers before joining Western Publishing in 1950, where he remained until the early 1970s.
