Time of infection?Edit

How do we know that Dexter Remmick wasn't already infected with the parasite during the episode "Coming of Age"? He could concievably have been infiltrating the admiralty with the parasites for months before it was discovered that something was wrong. Zsingaya ^Talk

I was thinking the same. I guess we don't know. "Conspiracy" was originally going to be about a military coup within Starfleet (as it says in the "Background information" section) and not about alien infestation, so I think that "Coming of Age" was not written with alien infestation in mind yet.
