mergeEdit

This article is (or should be) essentially the same as SS Birdseye. The only usefulness that I can fathom for having this as a separate article is if there were other references made in Star Trek to this technology. --Alan del Beccio 00:47, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't really agree with that; one article covers a generic topic, while the other covers a specific part of that topic, as pretty much every other article does. Just because there was only one mentioned doesn't mean that the technology isn't worth its own article. That's just my two cents. :/ Anyway, I'd have to vote nay to the merge. --From Andoria with Love 17:51, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Nay, what the man in blue said. --OuroborosCobra talk 17:59, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

named canon?Edit

In addition to above, the name "SS Birdseye" was never mentioned on screen and is derived from the Star Trek Encyclopedia, which specifically states: "Close examination of the model might reveal the letters "S.S. Birdseye" inscribed in the hull." -Alan del Beccio 23:31, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

If the name wasn't seen onscreen, then I would support merging the page with cryonics satellite (may comment above if that happens). I was scared I was the first one to link to the SS Birdseye with my September 25, 2005 edit, however, it turns out someone beat me with an August 7, 2005 edit.--Tim Thomason 23:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Try July 15, 2005. ;) Oh, and AJ is the one we should hate for this, it was originally a redirect to cryonics satellite, but AJ deleted it, then created the article we are now discussing turing back into a redirect... --Alan del Beccio 23:53, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
