Mention of France? Edit

I'm wondering if there is a specific mention of it being part of France that gives it enough reason to be mentioned since its been occupied by Carthaginians, Greeks, Etruscans, the Roman Empire, the Vandals, the Visigoths, the Saracens, the Lombards, the Nazi's and it has been its own independent republic. So unless its been mentioned I don't think we need to mention it formerly being part of anything. -- OvBacon^(Talk) 22:01, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
