Coffin torpedo[]

any one have any idea why when the photon torpedo was launched it didnt glow and please dont say its because it was a hallucination

There is no definitive answer, as there has been no canonical or even non-canonical statement. One theory is that the glow is due to the type of deflector shield used on the torpedo, activated when it is intended to penetrate a target or the shields of a target. Another is that the glow is simply a tracer round type of thing that can be used or not used. Episode "Night" would suggest the latter, as Kim modifies a torpedo in it to be a flare by making it emit "a sustained polyluminous burst" = a brighter glow. --Pseudohuman 22:04, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Admirals belt[]

Is it only the fatter admirals that wear those belts on their uniforms?

Etymology[]

Like most musical terminology, "coda" is Italian, not Greek. 193.11.213.26 23:39, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Nitpick[]

  • Admiral Janeway is wearing not only the incorrect uniform, but also the incorrect combadge. (Since Kathryn Janeway claimed he died when she was a child, he should be wearing a combadge from at least the 2350s; not the Voyager era of 2370s. His uniform should also be from the same era. Or they could just be explained away as errors made by the alien in replicating the form of Janeway's father.)

Removed nitpick. — Morder 10:52, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Removed[]

  • The theme of a crew believing (correctly) that their captain was still alive, despite all evidence, was previously explored in The Tholian Web

Removed, as one doesn't have to do with the other.--31dot 09:04, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

Soul Consuming Entity?[]

Does the Entity that attempts to consume Janeway and her soul/essence ever appear again in the series? Was he unique to the planet that they crashed on or does he consume the essence of countless others in the Delta quadrant?

Thanks, 204.101.24.120 19:05, April 12, 2017 (UTC)

Hello; this episode was the only appearance of this entity. In the future, general plot questions should be asked at the Reference Desk, as article talk pages are for discussing article changes only. 31dot (talk) 19:18, April 12, 2017 (UTC)
