USSR
I removed the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics from the list of references, as I've just watched this episode and am fairly sure it's not mentioned in it. The only related reference is to the Ural Mountains, which were at one time in the USSR, but it's a reach to consider that a reference to the USSR (even allowing for the mention on the SS Tsiolkovsky dedication plaque).
