This article would seem to imply Bombay was not renamed Mumbai in 1995, or that it was renamed back to Bombay at some point. Is the lyric of Fontaine's song the only evidence for this, and is that enough evidence to rename a real-world city? Just a thought. :-) --Leckford 19:02, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

It's part of the lyrics of the song from 1957, when the city was still called Bombay. In the future, they still sing the song with the same lyrics. We have no clue what the city is actually called in the 23rd or 24th century, the lyrics seem to be the only reference. --Jörg 19:10, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
