- Arcturus -- there are a lot of starships named after things (like the São Paulo vote), but this is two-degrees of separation from that! I see no Trek value to it, unless it is the canon homeworld of the Arcturians, which otherwise needs to be indicated. --Gvsualan 11:19, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- With this and the topics listed below, I think the problem is that many of these topics have been wikilinked from some articles, leading new users to believe they are subjects which should be covered on MA. Perhaps it would be best to try and weed these out, particularly from Physics and Chemistry and subtopics of Stellar cartography. Clearly, obscure topics like the physics ones listed below or articles for cities which have starship namesakes do not really belong, but I'm on the fence about common or famous astronomical objects, just because Trek is so closely connected to astronomy. It seems like it would be better to have a brief in-house reference to such topics rather than referencing Wikipedia all the time. I'm voting to keep for now, but would be interested in hearing other takes on this. -- SmokeDetector47 // talk 03:33, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, I think Arcturus is meant to be the home of the Arcturians. Keep -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk
- On second thought, Arcturus (as a star) doesnt have much for canon mentions -- lets redirect this to merge Arcturus with the unwritten article Arcturus system, which has a more valid reference with Arcturians. -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk

Edit
Without the now-deleted Arcturus IV article, I'm not seeing much here to merit keeping this one, either, as the background info is all non-canon. 31dot (talk) 13:33, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
