Tense Edit

why is this written in past tense? An apogee is a physical property/phenomenon, what have you. It's a thing that is the same no matter what universe and reality you look at it from. You cant say "an apogee WAS so and so". It in fact still IS. – Distantlycharmed 20:53, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Your answer is here. – Tom 22:00, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
To be honest, I still feel that everything should be in the same tense, but this (being a mathematical concept) could go either way. Now, having said that, for all we know, from the POV of MA, the concept has changed. :P -- sulfur 02:37, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

Exactly, it is a mathematical concept and should not be written in the past tense - like it was only true in the past. I understand why the text below it, where it is put in context, is written in the past, but the first line describing what it is should be in present tense. – Distantlycharmed 17:13, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
