Nana Visitor's Pregnancy Edit

It was not stated in this article whether this episode was made in preparation for Nana's pregnancy or if Nana is already pregnant by the time this episode aired. 112.201.130.3 20:33, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

I've not seen any production source discuss the specifics of this episode. It's a safe assumption that she was pregnant already at the time, since she was showing (in the episodes at least) almost immediately after. -- sulfur 20:38, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Here we go:

"Although it hadn't been planned, Keiko's fictional pregnancy provided a unique way to deal with an unexpected, real-life development a short time later, when Nana Visitor became preganant with her second child in real life..." (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, p. 320)

On the same page the book noted that Keiko's pregnancy was actually inserted by Jane Espenson primarily for the Worf gag. ;-) –Cleanse ^{( talk | contribs )} 00:14, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
