The Takarians were a pre-warp humanoid race from the region of Takar on a planet in the Delta Quadrant and are identical to Humans. They are a bronze age civilization with a culture that includes legends about a pair of Holy Sages who will come from the stars. A pair of Ferengi, Arridor and Kol, pretended to be the Sages in an effort to make money. They had drastic effects on the Takarian civilization but were driven out by the crew of the USS Voyager.
