Tactical Analysis Division was a division of Starfleet responsible for the analytical study of data acquired from the monitoring of border regions. Remote sensor drones were employed by this agency for the purpose of this data acquisition. The division had a direct link to these drones.
In 2364, prior to stardate 41775, Fleet Ops determined that this division was more effective at monitoring one particular sector than a starbase. Soon after this determination, Starbase 045 received a mission order from Starfleet Operational Support Services, which informed the outpost that its monitoring was to cease immediately. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
This agency was never mentioned in dialog; its name came from a mission order. The number for this sector and the stardate of the mission order were both illegible.
