In 2353, Shimizu was listed on a directory placard as having an office in room 35559 on Starbase 32. (TNG: "Violations")

In 2371, Shimizu was assigned to the starship USS Voyager, and subsequently became trapped in the Delta Quadrant. As a lieutenant, Shimizu was listed among that vessel's crew in 2374 when the ship was taken over by Hirogen. (VOY: "The Killing Game")
