The Sung Dynasty otherwise known as the Song Dynasty was a ruling dynasty in China from 960-1279. Its creation marked the reunification of China for the first time since the fall of the Tang dynasty in 907, and the end of the era known as the Period of Five Dynasties and 10 Kingdoms.
