Subspace isolation field

A subspace isolation field (or subspace forcefield) is a localized forcefield that contains its own pocket of subspace. An emergency transporter armband can be modified to produce such a field and a person within the field will be protected from the effects of a temporal fragment. (TNG: "Timescape")
