Crewman Sturgeon was a crewmember aboard the USS Enterprise in 2266.

In that year, Sturgeon accompanied Captain Kirk and Crewman Green to the surface of planet M-113 to investigate the death of Darnell, a crewman who had died recently. Kirk ordered Sturgeon to locate and collect a sample of the poisonous borgia plant, which was supposedly the cause of Darnell's death. While searching, however, Sturgeon was attacked and killed by a creature which extracted all of the salt from his body as a form of sustenance. (TOS: "The Man Trap")

Sturgeon was played by John Arndt. According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, he was named for Theodore Sturgeon, writer of the episodes "Shore Leave" and "Amok Time".
