Stewart "Stu" K. Satterfield worked in the transportation department as transportation coordinator/ transportation captain for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. S. Satterfield, a name on the dedication plaque of Enterprise NX-01, was named after him.
Prior to his work on Star Trek he worked as car carrier on the action thriller The Hunter in 1980. He then worked as transportation captain on the drama Coast to Coast (1980) and Ron Howard's comedy Gung Ho (1986), and as transportation coordinator on the drama series Nero Wolfe (1981).
