The Strnad system was an uninhabited planetary system neighboring the Rubicun system. The primary was named Strnad. One of the planets in this system was a M class planet. The system was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
The system was located inside a stellar cluster containing 3,006 planets that were suitable for colonization. The star cluster was claimed by the Edo God, a powerful being (or beings) worshiped by the Edo, the humanoid inhabitants of Rubicun III.
A planet of this system in 2364 was the temporary home of the Strnad colony. This colony was the home of former residents of Earth ferried there by the USS Enterprise-D. Later, after reaching an accord with the Edo God, the colonists were relocated by the Enterprise. (TNG: "Justice")
Strnad appeared in the starchart Data and Picard were studying in Stellar Cartography in 2371. (Star Trek Generations, display graphic)
