A steward is an attendant who manages food services aboard starships in various capacities, including food server and assistant chef.
Enterprise had several stewards assisting its Chef, including Crewman Daniels and Taylor. (ENT: "Cold Front") Crewman Alex also served as steward during Archer's dinner with Vulcan captain Vanik. (ENT: "Breaking the Ice")
Trip Tucker expressed concern that Jonathan Archer might demote him to the role of steward after his debacle on the Arkonian moon. (ENT: "Dawn").
Among the jobs held by Richard Bashir was that of a third-class steward on a shuttle run. (DS9: "Doctor Bashir, I Presume")
