Steve Birkett is a boom operator within the sound department who worked as mike operator on five episodes of the fifth season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Other projects he worked as boom operator on include the drama White Water Summer (1987), the drama Homo Faber (1991), the crime drama Perfect Alibi (1995), the thriller Anaconda (1997), the crime drama The Replacement Killers (1998, with Doug Hemphill), the fantasy comedy Mystery Men (1999), and the drama Crazy in Alabama (1999).
