Stephen D. Mines (born 3 February 1939; age 73) is the actor who played the unfortunate Lieutenant Robert Tomlinson in the original series episode "Balance of Terror".

Mines was a regular cast member on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns from 1966 through 1968. A brief role on Dan August is his last known guest appearance on any TV series.
