Steak is an ancient Terran delicacy. It is a very simple dish, consisting of a fried slice of meat, usually from the Terran cow, which is flavoured and can be served with various side dishes like potatoes or vegetables.
During the 2150s, Captain Jonathan Archer and Commander Charles Tucker of the Earth starship Enterprise (NX-01) quite frequently enjoyed Steak together.
In 2374 Lieutenant Julian Bashir from the Federation space station Deep Space 9 was about to enjoy a steak with mushrooms and a grilled potatoe in Quark's Bar after he had not eaten a thing in days due to his journey to Kal'Hayah in preperation for Worf's and Jadzia's wedding.
