Station Salem-One was a station of unknown affiliation and location.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard once compared Station Salem-One to Pearl Harbor and noted that it was remembered as "the stage for a bloody preamble to war." (TNG: "The Enemy")
The script of third season installment "Yesterday's Enterprise" mentioned a similarly named Station Salem Four, which was raided by the Bel-Zon. [1] A deleted scene from season 4's "Family" would have revealed that one of Jack Crusher's ancestors died at Station Salem-One.
