The Starfleet Academy Marathon was a running competition for Starfleet Cadets. It covered a distance of 40 Kilometers.
In April of 2323 the Marathon was held on Danula II. Future Captain Jean-Luc Picard, an Academy Freshman at the time, was the winner that year. He was the first Freshman to win. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")
