In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D made a detour to this starbase for engineering consultations following a series of minor readout failures in the warp core, and to transfer aboard tactical adviser Kyle Riker to brief his son, Will, on the mission of the USS Aries. (TNG: "The Icarus Factor")
