A male surgical specialist who was working at Starbase 515 in 2365 was an acquaintance of Doctor Katherine Pulaski. When complications arose during the operation to replace Captain Picard's cardiac implant, he was called in to assist the surgeon in charge. When the surgeon declared himself unqualified to complete the complex procedure, the specialist contacted Dr. Pulaski to continue. (TNG: "Samaritan Snare")

The biomolecular specialist was played by Tzi Ma.
