The Star Trek Trivia Game was a trivia game covering all four (at the time) Star Trek series (TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager). The game was produced by Mattel in 2000.

The game consisted of four tokens representing the original Enterprise, the Enterprise-D, the USS Defiant and the USS Voyager, a board representing the four quadrants of the Star Trek universe, 20 Starfleet insignia-shaped markers representing the various series (5 each in red for TOS, green for TNG, purple for DS9 and blue for Voyager), four decks of trivia cards (one for each series, in the same color scheme as the markers) and one game die.

The TOS Cards included questions on the first 6 Star Trek Movies, and the TNG cards included questions on Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. The DS9 cards covered all seven seasons, but due to its' release date, the Voyager cards only go up to season six.

Object of the game was to circle the board, landing on spaces to answer questions based on the series and movies in five possible categories:

  • Tricorder Readings were questions based on events, objects and story lines.
  • Life Forms quizzed the players on characters and species.
  • Astrometrics asked about locations, planets and major plot points.
  • Temporal Anomalies inquired about time, chronology, ages, dates, etc.
  • Q Continuum questions were General Knowledge questions, often delving into behind-the-scenes or all-over Trek-related questions.

Answering a question on a series in that series' quadrant earned an insignia marker in that series' color. Answering a Q Continuum question correctly also let you move any ship (including your own) to any other space on the board; answering it incorrectly forced you to the nearest Borg Space (see below).

Special spaces on the board included:

  • The corner Wormholes, which allow movement to any other corner.
  • Engage!, letting you move to any space of the same color as the Engage! space.
  • Lock Phasers!, letting you challenge another player for one of their insignia markers.
  • Borg Spaces, which force you to "defend" your last-earned insignia marker by answering another question on the marker's corresponding series.

Getting at least one of each of the four Starfleet insignia markers allowed you to use a Wormhole space to move to the center Starfleet Command space, requiring you to answer one more question of the opponents' choice of series and category to win the game.
