In 2009, Mattel released three Pink Label™, 11½ inch Barbie and Ken dolls as collector's items based on a license from the alternate reality Star Trek film. The dolls were modeled after the actors playing the roles of Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), and Uhura (Zoe Saldana). All three figures are dressed in "alternate reality"-style uniforms and accessories. Each doll is shipped with a labeled stand and a Certificate of Authenticity which commemorates 2009 as Barbie's 50th anniversary.
- "Barbie as Lt. Uhura" wears a red operations division uniform, black booths, and holds a phaser
- "Ken as Captain Kirk" has dark blonde, rooted hair and wears a gold command division uniform shirt with captain's stripes, black pants, and holds a communicator and a phaser.
- "Ken as Mr. Spock" has rooted hair and exhibits the typical Vulcan pointy ears; he wears a blue sciences division uniform shirt with commander's stripes, black pants, and holds a phaser and tricorder.
All dolls were designed by Bill Greening.
