"Tune in and prosper."

Star Trek 2.0 is a special edition of Star Trek: The Original Series which premiered on 11 April 2006 as the second interactive G4 show (the other was Banzai).

Star Trek 2.0 is broadcast in a format in which an episode is shown in a box surrounded by four different features.

  • Trek Facts: This include a scrolling information bar at the top of the screen (similar to the ones found at the bottom of the screen on CNN or Fox News Channel) that contains obscure facts about the episode and the actors who appear in it.
  • Spock Market: This is an interactive "stock market" feature, located on the right side of the screen, containing the changing stock prices of companies named for various TOS characters and items (such as James T. Kirk = JTK).
  • Beam Me Up: This is a real time, live chat about the episode and answer questions from a chat room. This is located at the bottom of the television screen.

Star Trek 2.0 formerly aired Saturday afternoons, but is now off the schedule. G4 began airing Star Trek: The Next Generation in 2.0 format on 17 January 2007.
