The Space Between was the first IDW Star Trek: The Next Generation comic in a six part mini series. It takes place Stardate 41590B in the year 2364.

It describes the evnts of a mission to the planet Tigan. This is a technologically advanced, yet isolated world. William Riker, Natasha Yar , and Data arrive to find that the person whom they had thought to be the chancellor, is not.
