On 7 November 2011, tvshowsondvd.com reported that thirteen seconds of footage from the third season episode "Sins Of The Father" could not be located and would be up-converted from the standard definition tape masters that CBS currently has. [1](X) On 11 April 2012, director Robert Meyer Burnett announced that the missing thirteen seconds were located, and would be be integrated into the final Blu-ray release of the third season. [2]
This was the first Star Trek "Best of" Blu-Ray release to have no DVD counterpart.
