Star Trek: The Collector's Edition was a bi-weekly publication produced by GE Fabbri for distribution in the UK, Australia, New Zealand,Germany, France and Spain only. It consisted of a combination package of a magazine and a DVD, with matching cover art of either one of the Star Trek films or three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In a format similar to the previously conceived Star Trek Fact Files and Star Trek: The Magazine, the 36 page magazines contained edited material from both publications and were to be collected in special purpose 16-issue binders or slipcases. The ten movie DVD's, which were the regular region 2 widescreen editions, formed their own sub collection, "Star Trek: The Film Collection". A French language edition, Star Trek: Les Nouveaux Dossiers Officiels, was simultaneously released by Data Base Factory. A German language edition, Star Trek: Die Sammler-Edition, started in February 2007, while a Spanish language edition was released in 2006 by Salvat Editorial.

A follow-up series, conceived along the same lines, collecting Star Trek: The Original Series, began in 2007 as "Star Trek: The Original Series - The Collector's Edition".
