UK releasesEdit

Rental releaseEdit

Starting from 1985 a rental release took place in the UK, under the name The Cartoon Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek. At least four volumes were released with at least the first four including four episodes each.

To date only four volumes have been found. It is unclear how (or if) the remaining six episodes were released.

Star Trek: The Animated Series was released in the UK in a three-episode-per-tape format, except the first tape, which had four episodes, by CIC Video in 1991-1992. The episodes were put in production order, which differs significantly from the series as aired.

Dates in italics are approximations based on release frequency, where no exact date is available. UK products are normally released on a Monday.

US releasesEdit

The complete run would be released on VHS by Paramount Home Video in 1989. Like the UK release, they were distributed in production order. Unlike the UK release, there were 2 episodes per tape and 11 Volumes altogether. The tapes were reissued in 1995, with slightly different cover art.

"The Ambergris Element" is listed as episode 13 instead of 12, and the numbering continues after that up to 23.
