Template:Realworld Star Trek: Orion Rendezvous, the only officially sanctioned Star Trek planetarium show, was originally produced for the Star Trek: Federation Science exhibit at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland, Oregon in 1992. The production work was done in cooperation with Paramount Studios, with the approval of Gene Roddenberry, and all design concepts were sanctioned by head designer Mike Okuda.

Since its first release tours spanned the United States and Canada. It was re-released for a European tour in 2000.

The production is the work of the OMSI planetarium staff of which Mark Bourne was the creative director and author. George Palosh and Brian Coloumbe were the Chief Modelers. All concept designs and art was the work of local talent with the exception of registered production material from Paramount Studios.
