In 2266, as Captain James T. Kirk was giving Lenore Karidian a tour of the USS Enterprise, as they were getting to know each other, she uttered these lines. She asked him if he remembered this literature. He responded that it was very old. In response, she said that it was as old as the stars. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")
