Stanton was a Starfleet nurse serving on board the USS Enterprise-D under Captain Jean-Luc Picard during the 2360s.

Sometime prior to 2367, Chief Miles O'Brien's father Michael O'Brien came on board the Enterprise to visit his son. Michael later embarrassed his son by chasing Stanton around a biobed in the Enterprise's sickbay. (TNG: "Family")
