The Stakoron were an alien species from the Gamma Quadrant. One of the planets in the Stakoron system was Stakoron II.
In 2369, Quark, temporarily serving as Grand Nagus, was informed that his predecessor had opened negotiations with them on behalf of the Ferengi, hoping to obtain mizinite ore. (DS9: "The Nagus")
