A spaceport was a facility allowing space travel to and from a planet. Spaceports could be space-bound or planetary.
Argelius II was considered a tactically important spaceport by Starfleet. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")

A scene that was in the shooting script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Paradise Lost" mentioned a spaceport in the Texan city of Brackettville. Jake Sisko and Joseph Sisko were to take a transport from Brackettville to Mars.
A deleted scene from "The Expanse" had Becky afraid that Jonathan Archer may have a girlfriend in every spaceport.
