Sonodamite was a material used in the construction of mining shuttles.

This material was used to construct the mining shuttle Nenebek. Data believed that readings consisting of: "...primary material is duranium, with smaller proportions of sonodamite and ermanium." (TNG: "Final Mission")

According to the script, this material was called sonodanite, but the term was spoken as sonodamite in what was later filmed.
