...as Billy

Solomon Burke, Jr. is an actor and musician who portrayed the Starfleet crewman Billy throughout the four year run of Star Trek: Enterprise. Burke, Jr. received no credit for his appearances until his last performance in the final episode "These Are the Voyages...", where he was credited as Ensign in the end credits.

Behind the scenes footage of Burke, Jr. can be seen on the ENT Season 1 DVD special "Enterprise Outtakes". He was also featured in an extended deleted scene in sickbay from the episode "Minefield".

Burke is the son of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Solomon Burke [1], a soul and country singer. In addition to acting, Burke has followed his father's footsteps and performs as a musician at various venues around Los Angeles, CA, with his band "The Position", who recently released their second album. Besides his appearances on Enterprise, Burke's only other known credit is a small role in the 2002 feature film White Oleander. His Enterprise co-star, John Billingsley also had a role in this film, as did fellow Trek performers Biff Yeager, James Lashly, Stephen Root, and Scott L. Treger.
