Solbor

Solbor in 2375.

Solbor was a Bajoran ranjen who served as loyal assistant to Kai Winn.

In 2375, Solbor accompanied the Kai to Deep Space 9, as she had taken it upon herself to officiate at Benjamin Sisko and Kasidy Yates' wedding. While they were there, Gul Dukat, disguised as Bajoran farmer Anjohl Tennan, tricked Solbor into letting him see the Kai. Dukat visited the Kai again, once during the night , as part of his scheme to release the Pah-wraith. Solbor was irked at Anjohl's presence. (DS9: "Til Death Do Us Part")

Several days later, after the Pah-wraith sent vision to Winn, Solbor was sent to the Bajoran shrine to obtain the Orb of Prophecy. (DS9: "Strange Bedfellows")

Soon after, Solbor accompanied Winn and Anjohl back to the Kai's office. Going over her schedule, he was surprised when she cancelled an appearance at a meeting of the Vedek Assembly.

Solbor was later sent to obtain the Book of the Kosst Amojan. This deeply worried him, telling the Kai that the book was evil. He vented his anger towards "Anjohl", questioning Anjohl's motives.

Later, Solbor began bringing more and more books about the Pah-wraith, unaware of the fact that Dukat and Winn were trying to reveal the invisible words of the Book of the Kosst Amojan. After the Kai fell asleep, Solbor began removing the books, but was happened upon by Dukat, who attacked him. Solbor then left the room.

Solbor had "Anjohl's" DNA analysed, realising that it was Cardassian - Dukat's. He also discovered that the real Anjohl Tennan had died in 2366.

Confronting them, he informed the Kai of Dukat's identity and realised that she was trying to release the Pah-wraith. As he turned to leave, about to expose their betrayal of the Prophets, Winn stabbed him in the back, killing him. Shocked at what she had done, she attempted to destroy the Book of the Kosst Amojan. As Solbor's blood dropped onto it, a burst of flames leapt from it, revealing the text. Dukat later disposed of Solbor's body. (DS9: "The Changing Face of Evil")

Several days later, a high level Bajoran security official came to see her. She pleaded with him to find Solbor. After he left, Dukat praised her lie, telling her he almost believed her. (DS9: "When It Rains...")

Solbor was played by actor James Otis.
