Solarion IV

Solarion IV was the fourth planet in the Solarion planetary system. This system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. It was the site of a Federation colony that was settled prior to 2368. In that year, the colony on Solarion IV was attacked and destroyed by an unidentified vessel. Shortly after, a Bajoran splinter group led by Orta apparently claimed responsibility for the attack, prompting Admiral Kennelly to assign the USS Enterprise-D to investigate the threat. It was eventually found that the Cardassians had attacked the colony to frame Orta, so that Starfleet would draw him into the open. (TNG: "Ensign Ro")

This planet's location was depicted on a tactical map during the Dominion War. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47 and on the chart United Federation of Planets I, Solarion IV was located in the Alpha Quadrant. This colony was resettled and, by 2378, had become a member of the Federation.
