Snoring was a noise made during sleep due to obstructed air movement while breathing. In humanoid species, the condition was known to be found in Humans, Cardassians, Vulcans, and Cos' species.

In 2370, Martus Mazur was bothered by his cellmate Cos's loud snoring when he was imprisoned in a Deep Space 9 holding cell with him. (DS9: "Rivals")

In 2372, Lieutenant commander Jadzia Dax claimed that she could hear Kor snoring through the bulkheads of the USS Rio Grande when she was on a mission with him and Lieutenant commander Worf to find the fabled Sword of Kahless. (DS9: "The Sword of Kahless")

In 2374, The Doctor was concerned that some crewmembers of the USS Voyager might snore while he was listening to Puccini, as they had to sleep there temporarily as an energy-saving measure. (VOY: "Demon")

One day in 2374, Weyoun went to wake Damar when he didn't respond to the comm system and found him snoring. (DS9: "'Til Death Do Us Part")

In 2376, Captain Kathryn Janeway found herself developing romantic feelings for the holographic character Michael Sullivan from the holographic program Paris 042, "Fair Haven." During a picnic, he began snoring, and Janeway considered using the USS Voyager's computer to alter his vocal algorithms, only to decide that everything around her was an illusion and leave. In describing this later to The Doctor, he suggested "perhaps next time you should just let him snore." (VOY: "Fair Haven")

That same year, Ensign Farley snored during a lecture by The Doctor, an incident that Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres later gossiped about with Ensign Tom Paris. (VOY: "Memorial")

Also that same year, after going without sleep for over ten days, Lieutenant commander Tuvok fell asleep on Voyager's bridge and began snoring. (VOY: "Muse")
