The Skywalker Division is one of the shipbuilding operations located at the Marin County Starfleet Yards. The division built the USS Pasteur. (TNG: "All Good Things...").
This is a tribute to Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), a special effects company based at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California, and founded by George Lucas. Skywalker Ranch in turn was named after the Skywalker family of characters from Star Wars. ILM created many visual effects shots used in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
