Bajoran lightship (aft)

Aft view of Sisko's lightship

Sisko's lightship was a replica of a Bajoran lightship constructed by Commander Benjamin Sisko in 2371. The only modern technology added was artificial gravity, as Sisko claimed weightlessness made him queasy.

Sisko's inspiration for building this craft was his study of ancient Bajoran texts. He and his son, Jake, would later successfully emulate the journey from Deep Space 9 to Cardassia, making use of the natural tachyon eddys of the Denorios Belt and confirming the ancient texts. Upon their arrival, they encountered three Galor-class warships, lead by Gul Dukat, who revealed the discovery of the ancient crash site of the original ship, and would celebrate Sisko's arrival with a fireworks display. (DS9: "Explorers")

Jake recalled piloting the lightship with his father after Benjamin had joined the Prophets. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")

According to a scene cut from "Explorers," Sisko's lightship was named the Baraka, which he described as meaning "good fortune" in the Swahili language. The Star Trek Customizable Card Game also gives this ship the name of Baraka.
